黃山古稱徽州，有2200多年的曆史，是我國三大區域文化之一--徽派文化的發祥地。徽派文化底蘊豐富，內涵深廣，涵蓋了哲、經、史、醫、科、藝諸多領域，在悠久的曆史長河中遺留下了無數的人文古迹與自然風光。
新安畫派、新安醫學、徽派建築、徽州四雕、徽派盆景等影響深遠，徽劇是京劇的前身，徽菜是中國八大菜系之一。

Mount Huang, was called Huizhou in ancient times, has 2,200 years of history and is the birthplace of one of the three regional cultures, Hui Culture, in China. Hui Culture has rich and profound cultural connotation, including philosophy, economy, history, medicine, science, and art, leaving numerous cultural relics and natural sceneries over the long history.
Xin 'an painting style, Xin 'an medicine, Hui Style architecture, and Hui Style miniascape have far-reaching influences. Also, Hui Opera is the predecessor of Beijing Opera, and Anhui cuisine is one of the eight major cuisines in China.
