This 1937 Ford Street Rod named Purp is located for sale in San Diego, California at Motor Car Company. The Street Rod is fully dialed in and drives like a dream. The car has only 1,040 miles on the clock. This one-of-a-kind custom Street Rod was built by Mr. Burtoway of Coast to Coast, a custom street rod company. He is very well known for his award-winning custom designs. When Purp was built it was a brand-new build from the ground up with the highest quality parts used. The engine is a V8 350 CID 383 stroker built to high performance specifications. Transmission is a GM 700R4 automatic transmission built by National Transmission. The purple exterior paint is very eye catching and is beautiful to look at day/night. The interior design is fabulous with full custom tan leather and Ostrich skin throughout. The dash has a clean digital display for the oil pressure, water temp, mph, odometer, rpm, volts and fuel level. Equipped with Vintage Air Conditioning and blows cold. Seats are adjustable and the steering wheel is tilt adjustable as well. The Clarion CD/MP3/AM/FM Magi-Tune High Power sound system works well and sounds amazing. It is equipped with Power Windows, Power Door and Power Trunk which is controlled by a remote in hand or the one installed on the interior of the car. All four tires were installed 340 miles ago and are in nice condition with lots of tread left on them. Rear tires are Michelin Pilot Sports 295/45ZR20. ENGINE & COMPONENTS:
-A 350 CID / 383 Stroker engine was freshly installed into the vehicle after being built to high performance specifications.
-The engine was balanced and blue printed.
-The compression ratio is 10.00:1.
-New timing chains and gears were installed when built.
-A harmonic balancer is in place.
-The engine has new rings, ARP push rods, valves, competition valve springs, along with all new engine components.
-A high volume oil pump was installed.

FUEL & AIR DELIVERY SYSTEM:
-A new Edelbrock 650 fm carburetor, stainless fuel lines and fuel pump installed.
-A new gas tank was mounted.
-After-market Edelbrock performance manifold is in place and is professionally polished.
-There was an engine chrome dress-up kit installed.
-After-market chrome air filter assembly was mounted.
-Chrome plating has been done on numerous engine components such as the new alternator, air cleaner, brackets, fan, hood, hinges, power steering brackets, p/s pump, power brake housing, etc.
-There is an under hood detailed, painted, Show Status appearance as per the photos.

COOLING SYSTEM:
-A new BE Cool aluminum 4 core radiator was mounted.
-There was the installation of an electric cooling fan to aid cooling.
-A new heater core was installed.
-A new polished water pump is in place.
-The air conditioning system exceeds R134 specifications.
-The drive pulleys have been fabricated from billet aluminum.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:
-A new Interstate brand battery is rear mounted for safety and traction purposes.
-New Mallory HEI ignition system and coil, 8 mm spark plug wires, have been installed.
-A Pain Less brand custom designed fuse panel was installed along with wiring throughout.
-A Mallory brand distributor is installed.
-A fused electrical sub panel is mounted.
-Dalcoa brand digital gauges are placed in the custom designed dash area.

EXHAUST SYSTEM:
-Borla brand polished headers are installed.
-A complete after-market aluminized exhaust system with 2 3/4" exhaust pipes is installed.
-After-market exhaust tips are in place.

TRANSMISSION:
-The GM 700R4 transmission was built by National Transmission.
-A custom stall torque converter is mounted.
-A shift kit is installed along with a Lokar brand interior shifter assembly.
-A transmission cooler is installed to aid cooling.


DIFFERENTIAL & COMPONENTS:
-The rear end was completed built for this vehicle.
-A new balanced rear drive shaft was installed.
-New axle bearings, seals, etch are installed.
-The differential installed is a Ford 8".

BRAKES:
-A front disc brake system was installed for handling and safety desirability.
