Hey guys! I am answering the age old question of whether you should do a post back or masters program when trying to strengthen your application. I recommend a post bacc first. A masters program can make even going to your state school, just as expensive as if you would have gone to a private school. If a masters is your only option, make sure you do a specialized masters. Taking masters level courses for courses that focus on the level of difficulty that will mimic the dental program, will give adcoms a bit more confidence in you if you haven’t had such a stellar record in the past. People change and you have the right to grow as person! Like always, I suggest speaking to several people before making your decision. I’m not an expert and I don’t claim to be, but I am lucky to be surrounded by very smart and equally capable pre-dental students that have worked very hard and based on their experiences, this is what I recommend.
