“Samhain marked the Celtic New Year, the end of summer, and the end of the harvest season. It also signaled the beginning of winter, which they associated with death. On this day, the Celts believed the veil between the living and the dead was especially thin. This allowed spirits of the dead to visit the living.“ Celebrations begin on the evening of 31 October (this Tues).

Sending you all Samhain love and reflection time along with this very strong full moon we’ve had. A time for introspection, reflection, deeper connection and a time for going in. To let go of what is old, to die and be reborn from the ashes and deadening of the winter. To plant our seeds of change for the new year ahead and embrace all that we truly are and wish for ourselves, our loved ones and the human race as a whole. Love is the constant thread which truly ties us together and the planet. Let us be with nature, with ourselves and send our roots down deep into the mycelium network and into the earth for guidance, healing and rebirth of the self and our actions.

The song was written and inspired during Samhain, the Celtic festival marking the end of the harvest season in late October. This is said to be a period when we are closest to the spirit world, and we are closest to the spirit and memory of our ancestors. A time when magic becomes real. The song is a celebration of the love a family line has for one another, and the healing that this love provides.
