Recorded at the Mimara Museum, Zagreb 12th of April 1991
Searching for unusual solutions is characteristic for Branimir Sakač (1918-1979); and yet in his scores, modern in conception, he often relies on inherited performing techniques. While in his orchestral compositions Sakač “does not seek programmatic images but the reflection of entire nature surrounding him”, in vocal-instrumental and experimental works he looks for happening without action, describing it as a “mystical deed, a primeval magic act... destruction and contrast to creation, which are both elements of the universe and its being”.
