osque Farms Elementary School held its annual Walk and Roll to School Day where students, staff and families were escorted by Orbit, the mascot for the Albuquerque Isotopes.
The Walk and Roll is a day in which students either walk or roll (via bike, skateboard, scooter, etc.) to school. The goal is to teach children how to incorporate regular physical activity they need each day to form healthy habits. Regular physical activity helps children build strong bones, muscles and joints, and it decreases the risk of obesity.
LLS School Resource Officers, as well as members of the Bosque Farms Police Department, were on hand to help keep event safe.
