Pakistan and the European Union (EU) on Saturday emphasised strengthening trade and investment links, including via the GSP+ scheme, to boost sustainable growth, exports, and job creation, the Foreign Office said. The remarks came during the 7th Strategic Dialogue in Brussels, co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and EU diplomat Kaja Kallas. Discussions reviewed Pakistan-EU relations, regional and global issues, and climate action. Both sides committed to advancing cooperation under the Strategic Engagement Plan and identified avenues for broader collaboration, while GSP+ implementation requires adherence to 27 international conventions on human rights, labour, governance, and the environment.
