Ricardo FINALLY Brings Ippo Back to Boxing

Throughout the story, it’s been shown that Ricardo has a quiet but genuine interest in Ippo, and he’s seemingly the only character who has pieced together that the current events—Sendo fighting Ricardo Martinez—are all connected back to Ippo. Their relationship and buildup have been told almost entirely in silence, beginning from the very first time they stepped into the ring together for a spar. Now, as Ricardo is having the fight of his life against Sendo, he knows that even if he wins, the victory won’t fully satisfy him. Deep down, he craves an even greater challenge—and that unspoken desire points straight toward Ippo, making him the opponent Ricardo would want to face next.
