In today's video, I am trying to get my Teac A-1500-W R2R machine up and running. The only thing keeping it from functioning was the capstan belt, which had degraded and broken into pieces. Replacing it wasn't too difficult, and the new belt got it working again!
I also decided to clean this machine up as it had some buildup of dust and grime, in addition to some corrosion on the capstan.
My next video will be a revisit to fix a couple things. I want to try to get the recording functionality fully working. I also want to try and fix the solenoid for the pinch roller tire.
