The home air ventilation system has been making an annoying noisy whistling sound.
An ventilation system is original from 2005.
Now is the time to do a complete cleaning of the air ventilation unit as well as the replacement of the fan motor bearings.

A new fan cost 140.00 euros (210w - R2E140)

It is time to do a complete cleaning of our home ventilation unit
Sounds like at least one fan makes extra noise!
Remove the microfilter and the two coarse filters
Turn on the unit and listen to which fan makes the extra noise; Is it inlet or outlet fan?
A useful tool for this: Noise stethoscope
The input fan bearings needs to be replaced
Remove the heat recovery cell
Make sure there is no electricity in the device before going any further !!
Disconnect the inlet fan rubber collar and the fan itself
Disconnect the fan power cord
Remove the fan motor rubber pad
Also remove the outdoor air inlet fan
Remove the preheater out of the way of cleaning
Clearly it is time to clean up
Check the water drain hole to make sure it is not blocked
This fan motor is from 2005. I have already replaced the bearings here many years ago
Replace the bearings again and clean the fan blades
Remove the fan motor from the housing
Remove the spacer from the front
Remove the shaft bearing cover
Remove the shaft locking ring and shims
With the puller, remove the motor from the wing frame
Remove the shaft bearings
These bearings have done their part a while ago
New bearings in place
The second fan is from 2008
Same cleaning for this fan as well
The filters are first washed with dishwashing detergent and then rinsed in clean water separately
Personally, I use coarse filters 2 or 3 times. These will wait for the next filter change
This filter should be replaced once a year. Write the date in the filter
And next all the parts back in place!
Test whether the running noise of the ventilation unit is silenced
It seems that the sound is even louder
Replacing the bearings did not help in this case. Poor quality bearings?
At this point, I will replace the completely new fan motor
Disconnect the power connector from the old to the new one
Ah!! The power connector still needs to be disconnected to get the cable through the board!
Big difference in spinning sound
The drain hose was clogged and this is the reason
Replace the new drain hose
The new drain hose is now in place and the lower guard will be put in place next
One more thing! Resetting the service interval from the control panel
The running sound of the ventilation was considerably silenced
