Here I show how I worked through the classic DSG DQ500 no gears problem on a VW T5.2 DSG. Symptoms can be suddenly loss of gears while driving or sporadic loss of gears. Gearbox selecting random gears eg D7 while stationary at the traffic lights. Can't get the gear selector out of park and the engine won't start.
Most people immediately say it's the megatronic unit is toast but they are actually very reliable on the DQ500 and expensive to replace. It's usually not the megatronic !
This video show my journey through possible reasons for the fault and eventually finding the problem and solving it. A must see video if you are having these problems and don't know where to start.
