Context:
My character, a Drow ranger named Riggnard (Riggs) was slowly consumed into a literal demon, the result of a deal with the mushroom archdemon Zuggtmoy.
The sad thing is that Riggs had no idea who this archdemon was until it was too late to turn back.
He made his fellow adventurers promise to kill him if he stopped being himself... which they did.
Keeping a promise has never been so heartbreaking.
