Holy HotLaps!!! BEST TRACK EVER? 🔥 2025 Pro Invitational Slalom from Nory's POV

The "slalom" event at HotLap is a crazy fun event. To start, it's not a traditional slalom -- there are no gates. And it's not a downhill either - there's no uplift (you ride or push) and your place is determined by the best of 3 runs! So yeah, it's not a typical event, but it's so fun!

For the first two laps, riders go in a specified order 30s apart. You get to see your time and place after each lap, and there's a 15 minute break to rest between laps.

The final lap is different because the start order changes. The slowest rider drops first and the riders get progressively faster towards the end. This is insane because everyone knows how much time they need to make up on the rider in front to secure a better place... but also have to watch out for the rider behind who's also trying to make up time. Such a fun format!

Nory was sick on this day, so wasn't able to put in a full effort, but still had fun and is primed for next year. Can't wait to get back to HotLaps!

The track is named Cool Runnings. You can find it on TrailForks in Heritage Park in Port Gamble, WA. This place is awesome, definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
