Rev. Fr. Arnel Aquino, SJ sets the Psalm 104, arranged by Philippine Madrigal Singers alumnus Ruben Federizon, into this intimate music.
In this Psalm, we hear of this supplication for God to send the Spirit to create and to renew the face of the earth. This affirms, in our understanding, the role of the Spirit in the work of creation, and His continuing work in the present. This invites us to believe that this is the Spirit of a Living God, fully present and manifesting His actions in the world and in our lives.
The Psalm is a revelation of the mystery of Pentecost, and the fulfilment of Jesus' promise that He would send the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, to continue journeying with man.
The Spirit's presence in our lives edifies the truth that, through Him, we have become co-heirs with Christ, heirs of the Kingdom of God.
