Late September is one of my favourite seasons here in rural south Bavaria, Germany. It's the beginning of the darker half of the year, but also a time to catch the last stronger sunbeams and warm days. I was busy harvesting a lot of nature goodies to preserve them for winter and I take you along with me - Have fun experiencing life in the German countryside and welcome to my Bavarian cottage Vlog

Summer has finally come to an end and the most magical time of the year begins - autumn. So I was busy obtaining as many nature goodies I could find to preserve them for the winter or enjoy them right away. I harvested rowenberries, which contain a lot of vitamin C - a great booster for the immune system in the winter monts. They are a little bit complecated to use, so if you wanna know what to do with rowenberries and how to use them, you are in the right place. Besides that I also collected peppermint at a forest clearing as I want to dry them for tea - peppermint tea is my favourite!
What I really love about this time of the year is the gently warming September sun. I could spend hours in it absorbing the Vitamin D and the joy it brings for the last time before the dark season arrives - and all that without getting sunburned as it is so soft.
I also visited my grandparents to join them with their apple harvest. I'm not a sucker for apples throughout the year, but fresh ones from the tree is something to die for! And hey, our first potatoes where ready this day. I felt blessed by this lovely potato harvest.
I planed on making jam with those apples so I can open a jar in the winter to get blessed by natures generosity also then. I didn't know that fresh apple jam tastes so delicious btw as it is a unusual jam type.
