Private gig in Orlando last week. I sing for a band called World Classic Rockers(Ansley Dunbar(Journey,Jefferson starship,Frank Zappa,Whitesnake,Jeff Beck,David Bowie)Michael Monarch(Steppenwolf, Janis Joplin),Nick st Nicolas(steppenwolf),Fran Cosmo(Boston,Orion the Hunter)Greg Walker(Santana)Randall Hall(lynyrd Skynyrd).
I get to sing journey starship and whitesnake as well as backgrounds for the other artists. What a job!!!!! This was the first time singing this song live and the band playing it live. We don't get rehearsals as everyone lives all over the country...

Remember if your teacher is telling you he or she doesn’t need to be a singer to teach singing run away and give me a ring 😀. And remember age doesn’t matter I’m in my mid 50’s and these guys are older than me you can still improve. I had a great conversation with Ansley the drummer and he’s 76 and he was telling me about his new practice and rudiment regimen. He sounded like a teenager still exited!!!! I love that, it made me feel good about my constant pursuit of getting better!!

Singing live is much different then in your home practicing. I practice a lot but only get out on bigger gigs once in a while(I do small local acoustic gigs, bars etc all the time) . And you need to adjust, you don't hear yourself the same, you have nerves because you want to do your best. You hear the music different you have to perform there's a lot involved. I wish I could be spot on all the time but all I can do is my best. I'm sure if more gigs pick up and I do say one a week like this it will become much better. I just want to show its not like the studio or practicing and also we all can't be as spot on as a Chris Stapleton he's always on. If you can find a bad recording of him show me and ill give you a free lesson lol...
