Eleanor Rigby — If The Beatles Recorded The Instruments (Revolver Concept)

What if The Beatles recorded the instruments on Eleanor Rigby themselves?
This is my recreation of how the band might have approached the song during the Revolver sessions — with absolutely NO AI used.
For this concept, I worked from Paul McCartney’s isolated lead vocal and rebuilt the track around it, imagining a Beatles “live” rhythm recording before overdubs:
• Paul McCartney — piano & bass
• Ringo Starr — drums
• John Lennon — electric rhythm guitar
• George Harrison — electric lead guitar
The core instruments were mixed down to one mono rhythm track before overdubbing — just as they often worked in 1966. I then added bass, percussion, and vocal harmonies, and mixed the final track with hard stereo panning inspired by the original Revolver mixes.
Rather than removing the famous string quartet entirely, I treated it as an overdub, blending it into a band-led arrangement.
Drum sources used:
• Main beat: Sgt. Pepper (Reprise)
• Hi-hat: Got To Get You Into My Life
• Fills: Paperback Writer
• Snare: I Want To Tell You
Additional overdubs include maracas and tambourine.
This is a purely human, hands-on Beatles concept — written, played, recorded, and mixed manually with period-inspired techniques. No AI, no stem generators, no voice cloning.
