Children hold a treasured place in the heart of God. As we invest time, love, and faith into the next generation, we carry the baton forward, joining the work of nurturing hearts that will one day worship, serve, and walk with God. This is holy work, and it is a gift. Message based on Matthew 18:1-10, 19:13-15
Quotes:
Thomas Merton: To be an acorn is to have a taste for becoming an Oak Tree.
G.K. Chesterton: Children have abounding vitality, because they are in spirit fierce and free, therefore they want things repeated and unchanged. They always say, "Do it again"; and the grown-up person does it again until he is nearly dead. For grown-up people are not strong enough to exult in monotony. But perhaps God is strong enough to exult in monotony. It is possible that God says every morning, "Do it again" to the sun; and every evening, "Do it again" to the moon.
Satchel Paige: How old would you be if you didn't know your age?
