Evidence points to the Romans making light work of capturing this awe-inspiring ancient fortification. But from the sky, the site reveals one of the greatest construction projects of ancient Britain and shows just how difficult any assault would have been. On the ground, Bettany discovers evidence that tells quite a different story of how Iron Age Britain succumbed to the Roman way of life.
