Top 10 Best Disneyland Rides 2014 Edition HD

These are, in my opinion, the best attractions at Disneyland Resort in California. This video includes attractions from both Disneyland park and Disney's California Adventure Park. I made a video like this in 2009, but my list has changed a bit and now includes some very recent additions. As you can probably tell, I absolutely love Disneyland. I have been there three times and have been on every attraction at least twice. The pictures and videos used in this video are a combination of my own pictures (that's me in the middle row at the far left at 4:05) and other youtube users, with permission.

Here is my opinion of each ride and why it is on the list:

1. Space Mountain: Extremely thrilling roller coaster completely in the dark! The fantastic ride soundtrack and futuristic theming add to the experience. As soon as you get off, you will want to ride again!

2. Pirates of the Caribbean: The best dark ride at any Disney park! It combines all the best Disney elements to create a wonderfully relaxing experience. The surreal atmosphere as you float by the Blue Bayou is indescribable.

3. Tower of Terror: This attraction is housed inside an incredibly detailed and ominous tower that looms over the entire park! It has a really elaborate queue and haunting narration to accompany the ride. The feeling you get as you fall 13 stories to the ground is unlike anything else!

4. Radiator Springs Racers: This is the most expensive ride ever built as Disneyland, and it shows! Opening in 2012, this ride uses the latest technology and most realistic animatronics I've ever seen! The scenery is gorgeous and the racing part of the ride is a blast!

5. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: It's a wild and thrilling mine train ride through the wilderness! It has excellent scenery and theming. It's just a lot of fun. I highly recommend riding at night!

6. Indiana Jones: This ride is very impressive to those who have never been on it. In addition to an elaborate and long queue, the interior is just as grand! The jeep slides around curves, bumps over rocks, creaks over an old bridge, speeds up, slows down, and even goes backward at one point! Loads of fun!

7. Haunted Mansion: This enormously popular ride showcases the creativity of the imagineers behind the rides and continues to be on their greatest achievements. The visual effects will leave you wondering how they did it! The ride transforms during the holiday season to be Nightmare before Christmas themed, which is great too.

8. Splash Mountain: Perfect ride on a hot day to cool off! You slowly float through various scenes with classic Disney animatronics with a fun soundtrack. And no matter how many times you ride it, the huge plunge at the end is always thrilling!

9. Matterhorn Bobsleds: Another Disney classic! Where else in the world can you ride through an elaborately decorated 147-foot artificial snowy mountain? While it may be a bit bumpy, you have to respect the ride. It was the world's first tubular steel roller coaster when it opened in 1959.

10. Star Tours: The Adventures Continue: This classic motion simulator ride opened again in 2011 after a long refurbishment with improved 3D visual effects and an interactive queue! You can ride this over and over because you travel to a different planet every time! This ride is so much fun, especially in the morning with little wait times.


Honorable Mentions:

Soarin over CA: It's a beautiful simulator ride that showcases the best landmarks of California from an aerial view. It feels incredibly real, and you will forget that you are just looking at a giant movie screen! It used to make the top 10 list, but I feel like it loses the thrill after a few rides.

CA screamin: This is a really fun and smooth rollercoaster over Paradise Pier that I love, but it didn't make the list because it lacks the theming and creativity that Disney rides are known for.
