This Event has been organised by the Digital Working Group of the Process Industries Division of the IMechE but is relevant to any division where manufacturing occurs.
It is hosted by Process Industries Division and promoted across the Centres in the North West and Yorkshire Regions, the Aberdeen Area, the North East area, all part of the Process Industries Community.
Industry 4.0 can be defined as the integration of intelligent digital technologies into manufacturing and industrial processes. It encompasses many technologies that include industrial IoT networks, AI, Big Data, robotics, and automation. Digital transformation is the utilisation of technology, process and people.
Following the Digital Survey carried out by the IMechE Process Industries Division, it transpired that there is a very wide range of understanding of what exactly Industry 4.0 is, how it works, how it’s measured, how one can benefit, and how to progress.
This webinar will address the basic definition of Industry 4.0, introduce a global framework and tools to help manufacturers – regardless of size and industry – start, scale and sustain their transformation journeys in digitalization, and showcase some success stories to bring context to the subject.
