This footage was shot by my cousin Jean-France Hennequin aka Fanfan, at the Immigration Museum for the Sweet Festival in 2012.
I was involved in this project as part of the Exhibition Committee, representing the Mauritian community along with members of C.HA.R.M and members of 4 other communities to celebrate the tradition of sweets in different cultures.
It was an amazing experience which I shall treasure always. Not only was I able to share the story of my favourite sweets growing up in Mauritius and my own recipes, but I was also privileged to perform and share my music with different communities.
