Our route takes us past Harrison Mills, Kilby Historic Site, and the historic town of Yale, where gold rush pioneers, the Cariboo Wagon Road, and the railway tunnels shaped BC’s history. We pass the abandoned Hellgate Tunnel, the stunning Alexandria Bridge, and ride through rugged canyons with breathtaking views.
Following the Thompson River, we see the ongoing rebuild from the devastating 2021 atmospheric river floods, pass Spences Bridge, the 1905 St. Michael’s All Angels Church, and the legendary Ashcroft Manor, a hub for 19th-century ranching and politics.
We travel by the heritage site of Hat Creek Ranch, once a Hudson’s Bay Company trading post, and then head to Loon Lake, a serene getaway with gold prospecting history and untouched beauty.
This ride is packed with gold rush ghost towns, abandoned history, and scenic backroads – perfect for anyone who loves motorcycle travel, BC history, and off-the-beaten-path adventures.
