Here are my thoughts and tasting notes for Hibiki 12 Year Old. Let me know what you think of this one in the comments.

Tasting Notes for Hibiki 12 Year Old 43%abv
Hibiki 12YO Blended Whisky 43%abv
Nose: Raisins, vanilla, dates, oak, apricots, cinnamon, caramel, an odd note of prickly fermented plums.
Palate: Raisins, mixed citrus peel, vanilla, wood spices, toffee, pepper, honey, figs, cinnamon, cloves, hazelnuts and the weird prickly fermented plums which for me upsets the balance. Medium bodied.
Finish: Chocolate covered raisins, vanilla, oak, cloves, hazelnuts and the fermented plums. Medium Length.
Last Word: The consistent prickly fermented plum note and flavour takes the Harmony out of the Japanese Harmony.
