A Bridge Too Far 1977 w/ subtitles

Four Dutch Army Leopard 1 tanks were mocked up to look like Panther tanks. Nine genuine Sherman tanks were used in the film. Two were towable hulks supplied by the Dutch Army. The rest were in running order. In addition five fibreglass Sherman Fireflies were made. These were built over Land Rovers. The common claim that they were built over VW Beetles is incorrect. However, some VW Kubelwagen replicas were used in the film and did use VW Beetle running gear. In summary, the Shermans used were one Sherman bulldozer with fiberglass turret added,two towable Sherman hulks,1 x Sherman Firefly,1x Sherman 105mm, two x Sherman 76mm, five fiberglass Sherman Fireflies. The 76mm Shermans were inaccurate as this version was not used by the British in NW Europe. In addition, three tank hulks supplied by the Dutch Army were used namely one M24,one M10 and one M47. All were anachronistic.
