Cleaning & Maintaining Your Heat Press
You want your moneymaker (heat press) to keep making you money, right? Each heat press is designed differently, but the general rules are:
1) If you have Teflon-coated heat press platen, wipe the press down with a soft rag or towel when it is warm, not hot. Teflon is non-sticking, helping to make cleanup easier.
2) If you have an aluminum heat press platen, use steel wool to clean the platen.
3) Use oil on the pins and links of the heat press to keep things squeak-free and running smoothly.
As always: make sure to check with your heat press manufacturer for any model-specific instructions.
