在四川宜宾老城区有一条街名叫东街，始于清朝，盛于民国，后一度停止。
上世纪八十年代，当地为搞活经济、鼓励个体经营，在市区主要街道东街开设夜间百货小商品市场。
这一开就是四十多年！
如今，东街夜市不仅是当地夜间小商品买卖场所，还是大众夜间休闲逛街、淘宝，青年人走秀，网红传播，游客打卡的好去处。
东街，已然成了宜宾一张商业与人文的城市名片。
