Charanda is rum from Michoacan Mexico, it has a protected denomination of Origin from the Mexican government, and it is really good. I had some trouble finding the rules regarding Charanda production but it seems to be a blend of fresh pressed sugar can juice distilled in a pot still, and molasses distilled in a column still.
I am able to get two brands here, Uruapan (https://jvsimports.com/charanda-uruapan/) and Gustoso (https://www.gustosorum.com/)
I made some daiquiris test them out.
