Clairtone 7980 Boombox Bluetooth Mod

The Clairtone 7980 was marketed mostly in Canada while Conion C100-F was in the USA. There is no much difference between them. Despite its age, this one was so clean and all knobs were still there.

In this video, as usual, you can see my work in time-lapse mode. When you see the blue border on the screen, that section is dedicated to how to install the Bluetooth to this boombox.

In order to install Bluetooth to this boombox, you need to think of 3 things.
1: from where do you want to bring the power to the Bluetooth unit, 2: where do you want to connect Bluetooth signal wires, and 3: how to eliminate the ground-loop noise.

I used tape-2's power from CN207 wire for the Bluetooth powering, soldered music signal wires to the AUX IN from inside of the boombox, and finally in order to remove the ground-loop noise, I used isolated converter along with inductor and resistor to separate the power source to the Bluetooth unit.

There was a comment on the CONION C100-F Bluetooth mod that said "add LED lights to the meter too", so this time I added lights to the meter as well as tape-1. Also, there were viewers commented about toggle switch, so I replaced it to the rocker type switch this time. ( I always like the toggle switches that remind me old days sifi film equipment like spaceship's control board, etc...)
