About:
This is seriously one of the best games ever made! I have many fond memories of playing this on PC back in the early naughties. Deus Ex allows players to mix multiple play styles – stealth, combat and hacking – all whilst offering vast open-world mechanics, multiple choices and varying routes to explore. It perfectly encapsulates the distinctive 00's era of games, including: music, humor, design, art direction and punishing gameplay. This was the real deal back in the day – a true gaming experience made by gamers for the love of the medium.
Eerily, the story rings frightfully true in 2025 (conspiracies, bioweapons, augs, surveillance) and comes across as a bit of a warning 😅 Looking back, this game probably changed my life and influenced me in so many ways!

"A world ravaged by the mysterious Gray Death plague, economic collapse, widespread poverty, and escalating terrorism. The rare vaccine Ambrosia is the only cure—but it's hoarded and distributed under strict control by global powers. Cybernetic augmentations (augs) are everywhere, blurring the line between human and machine, while secret societies lurk in the shadows."

I've got the Steam copy, but applied a couple of mods to run properly on my modern system
