Today’s walk takes you along one of the most peaceful and beautifully redeveloped riverfronts in Beijing — the Liangma River. Filmed on November 19, 2025, this afternoon city walk begins at Liangmaqiao and follows the riverside path through a mix of embassy districts, modern business areas, scenic bridges, and calm waterfront parks.

Over the past few years, the Liangma River area has been transformed into a long linear urban park — complete with wooden boardwalks, cycling lanes, cafés by the water, small ferries, modern plazas, and tree-lined seating areas. It has become one of the most beloved city-walking routes among locals, expats, and visitors.

This walk captures the gentle rhythm of a Beijing afternoon: soft autumn light, quiet reflections on the water, the breeze passing through golden leaves, and people enjoying everything from jogging and cycling to riverside coffee breaks. On both sides of the river, you’ll see a unique blend of international life and modern local neighborhoods — embassies, hotels, office buildings, plazas, and residential streets.

We’ll pass Yansha Bridge, explore the modern commercial area around Qihui Center, walk by Jiayi Plaza, stop near the ferry port, and continue toward Xinyuan Street, where embassies, cafés, and tree-lined sidewalks create a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere.
This is the side of Beijing that’s not crowded or rushed — just calm, everyday city life.
