I made it back to the railroad diamonds in Marion, Ohio. Marion is about 50 miles north of Columbus, Ohio and several railroad lines cross behind Marion Union Station. The station was built in 1902 and we take a quick look inside it. This time I show cool stuff I didn't show the last time, including a model train steam locomotive on display.
A couple of these trains are monster trains and have DPU locomotives. We also see a caboose that is still in use. The railroad diamonds take a beating. Listen to how loud it is when the trains cross them. Standing on the platform is probably the loudest place to film from. When trains pass by and blow the horn for the crossing, it gets unbelievably loud and ear protection is a good idea.
