🌍 Intellectual Property & Innovation: Navigating the Startup Ecosystem

Hi everyone! Today, I want to share some insights and reflections on the Indian startup ecosystem and the critical role of intellectual property (IP) within it.

Over the years, I've observed a lot of discussion and activity surrounding Indian startups. While I won't name specific cases, it's clear that understanding the "thin line" and "silver lining" of how the internet should operate properly is crucial. Highlighting services and ensuring everything aligns with regulations is essential.

Looking back at the timeline, perhaps 20 years ago, certain practices might have been overlooked, but today, we need to deeply appreciate how India and China function in the tech landscape. I commend the initiatives taken by some current ministers who genuinely understand technology. However, there are still ministers and authorities trying to address the corruption aspect within the system.

Speaking of corruption, it's important to note that blockchain technology, as the first protocol of the internet, is designed to prevent such issues. The internet and IP protocols have been misused by some companies, with the exception of Airtel, which aligns closely with ITU standards.

In my professional journey, I've encountered challenges as an Indian patent agent. After careful consideration, I've decided to nominate my mother, Dr. Rita Khastgir (RITA DUTTA ROY), as the Indian patent AGENT 1241. She is highly qualified, with extensive experience in the medical field and a deep understanding of the IP landscape.

I plan to submit an RTI (Right to Information) request, relinquish my patent agent number (1241), and transfer it to my mother. She will be well-equipped to handle patent-related matters, supported by my proprietary models and extensive reading materials.

Understanding the internet protocol and intellectual property rights is vital. Startups, in particular, need to grasp how IP works. Unfortunately, many individuals and entities are misusing the internet. I urge everyone to recognize that the internet should not be a platform for illicit activities like property scams.

I also want to emphasize the importance of the Paris Convention and the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) in the realm of intellectual property. These international agreements provide a framework for protecting IP rights across borders and are essential for startups aiming for global expansion.

To all the innovators and creators out there, let's work together to build a cleaner, more transparent startup ecosystem. Let's leverage technology and IP laws to drive positive change and growth.
