Gary Miller, a Canadian mathematician and academic, embarked on a fascinating journey that spanned various fields of interest. Initially a Christian missionary for 15 years, he engaged in deep study and corresponded with church figures to discuss biblical verses and interpretations. However, in 1977, Miller decided to explore the Quran, subjecting it to the same scrutiny as the Bible. Surprisingly, he found the Quran aligned with his beliefs and common sense, leading him to realise that he had unknowingly been a Muslim for years. Embracing Islam, he adopted the name Abdul-Ahad Omar while continuing to use his original name.
