The SHRC Chairperson Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho initiates the event with an inspirational welcome speech. The speech focused on addressing the challenges and implementation of minimum wage.
In his speech, Chairperson SHRC Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho highlighted the importance of compliance with international conventions and the Constitution of Pakistan in ensuring that all workers are paid a fair wage. He also announced the launch of a comprehensive campaign to raise awareness of minimum wage issues and to establish a system for ensuring compliance with the law. The Chairperson announced the launch of a dedicated desk will be established to handle complaints related to minimum wages and conduct inspections in accordance with the law. Chairperson Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, concluded the consultation with vote of thanks to participants and Guests. Chairmen SHRC, share that Labor Department, Law Department and Sindh Human Rights Commission will work together on Minimum Wage related issues.
