As an Englishman living in Russia for the past 4-5 months, I'm still adjusting to everyday life here — mostly little "first-world" inconveniences rather than big problems.
In this raw, unfiltered vlog, I share what I'm getting used to:
Endless icy stairs at train stations (babushkas, how do you do it?!)
Relying on public transport outside the city — long journeys, unreliable trains, and multi-hour commutes for simple errands
Expensive imported cars vs. cheaper ones in the UK (my old Vauxhalls cost just £400-£650!)
Tons of paperwork for everything (visa process was all paper, no digital shortcuts)
The strong Orthodox Christian culture — beautiful wooden churches everywhere and people openly practicing faith
Winter beauty despite the cold, -15°C days, black ice, and mud
Plus massive New Year trees in small towns
I also touch on weird products like meat porridge (hard pass) and why I might finally get a car here.
This is my honest perspective as a foreigner — Russians, correct me if I'm wrong! I love discussing these in the comments.

Comment below: What's the biggest adjustment you've made moving abroad? Or Russians — am I right about the stairs hating everyone?
