This video features a long-distance FM DX reception of RTS – Radio Beograd 202, transmitted from the Jastrebac transmitter site in Serbia, and successfully received 192 km away at an open-pit quarry near Skravena village, Bulgaria.
The reception was achieved using a portable DeepElec radio receiver with only its built-in telescopic antenna, without any external or directional antennas. The open terrain of the quarry provided excellent conditions for VHF signal propagation, making this a solid example of portable FM DXing.
Such extended FM reception is typically possible during periods of enhanced tropospheric propagation, allowing VHF signals to travel well beyond their normal service area.
