Tech notes:
Audio doesn't have as much stereo separation as normal for the Shure MV88 mic -- I accidentally selected the Speech preset, with its 60 degree spread rather than the optimal MOTIV app Band preset with 120 degree spread. I blended some of the on-camera stereo mic audio to widen the stereo field slightly. Those mics are only separated 4.5cm, firing upward on the top of the camera body, but a slight improvement.
LED backdrop syndrome: Causes autoexposure to underexpose the performers, when the backdrop is in frame. I went through the entire show in Final Cut and manually increased exposure in those parts.
Proposed workaround for future bright-backdrop shows: Decide early in the show, on a manual exposure setting: ISO / shutter duration / iris, optimized for the performers rather than the backdrop. While manually monitoring the ISO for unusually bright / dark framings. This will sometimes overexpose the backdrop -- well worth it to avoid underexposing the performers.
