The Outrage Machine (album release show clip)

Continuing our celebration of iTopia's two year anniversary, here's a clip of The Outrage Machine, performed live at the album release show at Salvage Station on April 7, 2023. For the album release show we played iTopia start to finish, and good lord was that hard. iTopia is the first album we ever wrote entirely for the studio, with no real thought to how these songs would translate to a live setting. That gives you a ton of freedom in the writing and recording process, because studio and live are such different experiences. But then it came time to play all these songs live and we were suddenly like, "what have we done to ourselves?!?" But the challenge was exciting and helped us grow, like all challenges do. To find this clip, I watched a few sections of this show, and it made me feel so nostalgic for Salvage Station... a feeling that hits me on a pretty regular basis. The owners and staff there did such an amazing job with that venue. We loved to play it and we loved to see shows there. We loved the outdoor stage and we loved the indoor stage. We loved the light show and the sound system, the amazing techs who knew how to use them, the way the venue took such good care of musicians, the way our friends and fans would show up because they loved that venue too. We miss you Salvage Station, and we hope you rise again!
