Putting solar panels on a small boat, especially one as old as our 1965 Alberg 30 presents a lot of challenges. The most glaring is how do you make it so the panels don't detract from the classic lines of the boat. We knew we needed 400-600 watts of solar on Ecola to meet our electricity demands, and planning for this project started over a year ago! Our sliding panel setup is simple and we think it looks great!
