Celestion high gain speaker comparison made with a Mesa Boogie oversized cabinet.
Amp is an EVH (5150 III 100w), channel three.
Mic is an SM57.
Guitar used is an LTD MH1000ET (EMG 81 bridge pickup)
In order of appearance:
G12-50GL (Lynchback)
G12H-30
G12M-65 (Creamback)
G12T-75
V30
I kept the amp settings the same and reamped the recorded guitar tracks for each speaker test.
A highpass and lowpass are applied and subtle EQ on guitar tracks (the same settings for everything).
