Taloja Kharghar Flyover to Kharghar Turbhe Tunnel Latest Update|Kharghar Turbhe Link Road


The Kharghar-Turbhe Tunnel Link Road (KTLR) project is a proposed four-lane tunnel that will connect Turbhe in North Navi Mumbai with Kharghar in the south, aiming to reduce travel time and ease traffic congestion. The project, overseen by CIDCO, is expected to be completed by September 2028. 

Key aspects of the Kharghar-Turbhe Tunnel Link Road project:

Purpose: To improve connectivity between Turbhe and Kharghar, reduce travel time, and alleviate congestion on the Sion-Panvel highway. 

Route: The tunnel will start from the Sion-Panvel Highway opposite Juinagar Railway Station and end at Central Park in Kharghar. 

Tunnel Length: The tunnel itself will be approximately 1.763 km long, and the total project length is around 5.490 km. 

Project Components: The project includes a 1.8-km twin tunnel through Kharghar hill, a 3.4-km elevated viaduct, and a 1.5-km elevated road connecting Central Park to Taloja. 

Estimated Cost: The project is estimated to cost INR 2099 crore. 

Completion Timeline: The project is expected to be completed by September 2028. 

The Taloja-Kharghar flyover project starts from Taloja Phase 2 and ends at Sector 27 in Kharghar. From this point, a 5-minute drive will connect you to the Kharghar-Turbhe Link project. Today, I'll be taking you on a tour of this entire project.
