Transliteration: Ganga taranga ramaniya jata kalapam Gauri nirantara vibhushita vama bhagam | Narayana priyam ananga madapaharam Varanasi pura patim bhaja Vishwanatham ||

Meaning: I worship that Lord of the Universe (Vishwanatha), the Lord of Varanasi, whose matted hair looks charming with the waves of the river Ganga, whose left side is forever adorned by Goddess Gauri (Parvati), who is dear to Lord Narayana, and who destroyed the pride of Cupid (Kamadeva).
