What is going on everybody? Welcome back to The Rat’s Nest! This is chrom3rat, and today we are descending into the claustrophobic, high-stakes world of Quarantine Zone: The Last Check. Developed by Brigada Games, this title puts us on the front lines as a guard at a final checkpoint in a world ravaged by a global pandemic.

If you’ve been hanging out in the Nest for a while, you know I have a weakness for indie titles that lean into grit, scarce resources, and the tension of being one bad decision away from the end of a run. This game is a heavy moral balancing act—think Papers, Please but with a dark, first-person immersive atmosphere.

This game is a brutal test of observation and logistics. We failed this time, but the "Rat's Nest" doesn't give up that easily.
