This past week, we started strip-tilling our wheat stubble and cover crops for corn in 2020. We use an Orthman 1tRIPr 6 row 30" spaced shank bar that we run about 5-6" deep. It makes a very nice worked strip of soil that is slightly bermed going into winter. This is our 3rd year using this rig and we're very happy with the results. We also checked out some of our cover crops, black beans, and winter canola. But the most exciting part of this past weekend was the start of soybeans harvest. We only did 32 acres but it's a start!
