Part 2 of our bicycletour at the Drauradweg - from Lienz to Spittal.
The Drauradweg is a cycling route of 510 km along the river Drau, from Toblach in Italy, through Austria to Varazdin in Croatia. We cycled 4 parts of the Drauradweg downstream.
Today we started with our bicycles at our hotel in Lienz. First we went
downtown to find the signes of the Drauradweg. At the end of the day in Spittal we would take the train with our bikes back to Lienz.
Near the railwaystation of Lienz is a nice railway museum. We visited that myseum the next day. They show a hugh steam loc from 1920 with a snow plough.
We had a break for a drink at Shop 013 in Greiffenburg, the owners come from Tilburg (NL).
When it was 17:30 o'clock, we had cycled 74 kms and we still had 10 kms to go to Spittal and it started to rain! When we saw the railway station of Lendorf we decided to hop on the train back to Lienz!
We did this tour (74 km) in 7:30 hours, incl. breaks. We ride on normal (bio)bikes. Sometimes we had to walk and push our bikes uphill. But most of time we cycled downhill. Check the Relive at the end of the video for this route!
Hope you like my video, then give it a thumbs up. Thanks!
