-What is this game, anyway?
The game's name is Swirling Seasons, based on the Youtuber Lockstin and Gnoggin's Kaskade Video series. While we want to remain true to Lockstin's vision with Kaskade, certain features have been changed in order to provide a fresh experience to all. -Wait, Swirling Seasons? What happened to the original Blazing Bloom and Frigid Fall?
We've condensed the concept of the two original games into one game, not unlike a third version such as Pokemon Emerald or Pokemon Platinum. Making two separate games with their own unique story and features creates an unnecessary amount of work, especially for a fangame. All version exclusives listed in the video series will be available in Swirling Seasons.

-When will the game be out?
We've officially released our first public demo! This demo contains about an hour and a half of playtime. We're working to get more content out, but do keep in mind that we are working very hard to make Swirling Seasons the best it can possibly be. Games take a long time to make, especially seeing as this project is completely non-profit! Swirling Seasons will release when it is ready to be released.

-What can I do if I want to help out with Swirling Seasons?
Unfortunately we are not looking for any additional help at this time. However, we do open up Developer Applications occasionally in our Discord server, so feel free to join if you are interested in updates regarding applications. On this application we ask for examples of previous work, as well as some general questions. Based on these responses, we will determine if you are a good fit for our team! No personal information is required beyond what you are comfortable sharing.

-Do I need an emulator for this game?
No! Swirling Seasons is a standalone fangame, built using RPG Maker XP and Pokemon Essentials. It is not a ROM hack, and by extension, does not require an emulator. All you need to do is run the appropriate application when you download the game!

-Will the game be playable on non-PC Platforms?
Yes and no. We are only developing Swirling Seasons for PC, however, there may be some apps such as JoiPlay that allow you to run RPG Maker XP projects (including Swirling Seasons) on mobile and you may find something which works for Twilight Menu on the 3DS. These have become increasingly unstable lately, so take this with a grain of salt. We will not be fixing bugs that come about as a result of this.

-Will the game be playable on Linux, Mac, etc.?
Similarly to the last question, we are only developing Swirling Seasons for Windows, though there may be other ways to play the game on a non-Windows platform. Be aware that doing this may cause unintended bugs. We will not be fixing bugs that come about as a result of this.

-Why just "Swirling Seasons" as opposed to "Pokémon Swirling Seasons?"
Swirling Seasons is a fangame, and is not directly affiliated with The Pokémon Company International. To hopefully prevent any legal issues, we've gone the route of keeping the "Pokemon" out of our title completely.

-Does Lockstin know about Swirling Seasons?
Yes.

-Is there a place where I can go to see all the Lockemon?
Currently, the best option is the [Lockemon] page on our wiki. However, this is outdated and we are working on a better option for you all.

-Will [x] Pokemon be available in Swirling Seasons?
Wait and see.

-Where is the [blank]-type Rotom form?
While we will be including some of the Rotom forms seen in that video, we've made the decision that not all of them fit with our vision for Swirling Seasons, and as such, not all of them exist in the game.

-Will Swirling Seasons have Mega Evolution, Z Moves, Terastalization, Dynamax, etc.?
No.

-Will there be online functionality for trading and battling?
Not in game. Servers for online functionality cost money, and we are unable to reasonably support it. However, we are trying to find potential workarounds so that you can enjoy Swirling Seasons with other players. We are in the process of setting up a Kaskade Showdown server, and all trade evolutions will have alternate methods of evolution in Swirling Seasons.

-Will content removed in Sword and Shield/Scarlet and Violet be returning?
Some of it, yes.

-Will Swirling Seasons have the National Dex.
No.
