Many builders of wooden boats are drawn to luthiery - the making of guitars, violins and other stringed instruments.
many years ago I caught that particular bug myself, and spent a couple of years learning how to make fiddles, my particular o̶b̶s̶e̶s̶s̶i̶o̶n̶ focus being on the Hardanger fiddle - a folk instrument which emerged in the Hardanger Fjord area in Norway in the early 1700s.
I didn't show any particular aptitude or skill at making or even playing the fiddle, but that''s not a reason to quit, is it!
This fiddle caught my eye, so after all these years let's see if I've gained any skill as I repair it.
