This week feels like a slow transition. The inversion is still with us, but it's starting to weaken- which means faster fog burn-off and warmer afternoons for more of us, each day. Don’t expect much drama in the weather until late this weekend, when we may see the first signs of a broader pattern shift. Until then, it’s more of the same: clear skies up top, fog down low and gradually milder days.
The dry, quiet pattern sticks around through Saturday. Mornings will still bring freezing fog and chilly lows, but days will gradually warm — especially for areas that clear out. By Sunday, models show a weak front trying to reach us. It might bring some clouds and light mountain precipitation, but anything widespread looks unlikely. A more active pattern could develop after that, so next week may bring changes.
