In this video on "how to paint watercolours using edible products" I welcome you to take a peek over my shoulder and watch the process of the entire painting.

Edible watercolour painting is an easy, yet very effective way to enhance your cake designs. Using simple techniques you can create amazing detail that will bring your piece to life, give it depth and an overall professional look.

In this video I used petal dusts that have been mixed with a white alcohol. I like to thin the colours down quite a lot and the build the colour up with several layers. The range of uses for petal dust is phenomenal and unfortunately often over looked in cake decorating today.

I used a very basic outline to begin the painting, you may want to use a template to guide you or as you can see here , just a reference picture that you have printed out
